Here are some sketches from when my darling friend Clare dragged along for a life-drawing class at the Southbank Centre’s Women of the World Festival– but this wasn’t just your average life drawing class. It was an incredible tribute to the female body and mind. The women posing in the group were a wonderful mix to […]

Recently I was able to put together a proposal regarding Easter in which I did a series of Egg illustrations using watercolour and ink. I also drew a beet root, and then generously used an eraser in Photoshop to give the eggs a faded and rustic appearance. Below are the results!
As part of a project exploring the great British tradition of Pantomime, I attended two different pantomimes and then drew sketches interpreting and exploring what I had seen. Here are the sketches from the excellent “Once Upon a Christmas.” You can read the review of the show here. The sketches are a mix of coloured […]
The latest theatre adventure took me to The New Wimbledon Theatre for their performance of Aladdin. Now, as somewhat of a foreigner to British shores, pantomime is not something that is overly familiar to me. I’ve been a couple of times, but I find the productions so bizarre and the entire concept to be very […]

Last year I made my own Christmas cards by hand and individually. It was an adventure I was able to undertake owing to my being off work with a busted foot, and an adventure I quickly realised I was *not* going to have time to replicate this year. This year I opted for handmade origins, […]
Every year my alma matter William Allen High School has a fundraiser for the Allentown Arts Academy. The Arts Academy is a program within the school that allows high schoolers to enjoy and benefit from nearly 3 hours of arts education every school day. It’s a wonderful initiative, and in a world of cuts to […]
I was very very lucky this year to get to do some interactive work with an incredible dance company, IJAD dance. The project was to be observing and responding to an inside look at one of their performances, which fused social media with arabic dance and examined the idea of a work having an infinite […]
